Hello Neighbors – South End Neighborhood Association (SENA) has been informed by the WPB Planning Department that at 444 Bunker, between Webster and Dixie there is a building for sale with a contract to buy on it. The buyer wants to rehab the building and turn it into a 90-bed substance abuse rehabilitation facility.
The buyer would apply for a class B special use permit. This would have to be publically vetted so the neighborhood would be able to offer input. The buyer sent the required notice to the addresses in the 400 foot radius but as you know, there are only a few homes within 400 feet.
SENA has approached many of the neighboring businesses and homes in the area who had not previously heard about the plans for this property.
The Planning Department would like input from the neighbors to pass along. They are happy to hear from the public individually and collectively.
IMPORTANT: The WPB Planning Department needs your input by 4pm TODAY!
SENA will continue to take input from the neighbors for the upcoming public hearing on October 6. Please respond, we want as much input from the neighbors as possible by then.
The SENA Board of Directors has informed our City Commissioners as well so they are aware in the event that they had not yet been notified.
Please offer your input, questions, concerns and comments! Send them to SENA by replying to this message or Amy Stelly with the WPB Planning Department at 822-1442 or email her at astelly@wpb.org
