Membership and Fund Raising Committee

Our membership and fund raising committee is involved with increasing awareness in our community of SENA’s activities and raising funds to allow SENA to carry out its mission. The committee is involved in increasing membership in SENA. Greater membership in SENA equals more input from our neighbors and more positive activities we can accomplish together.

As of September 2005 we are 301 households strong and growing. We are reported to be the largest Neighborhood Association of any in the greater West Palm Beach area. We welcome new members and it’s only $12.00 per household! All South End residents are welcome at every meeting and dues are a suggestion not a requirement.

To join the membership and fundraising committee please attend one of our General Membership meetings the first Thursday of every month 6:07pm at South Olive Community Center or contact the committee chairmen:

Current activities of the membership committee include:

• The “Welcome Wagon”, a SENA sponsored program greeting newcomers to the neighborhood
• Development of a ‘door knocker’ to distribute to neighbors explaining what SENA is and does
• Creation of the State Farm sponsored “Good Neighbor” award
• Communications with business owners in our neighborhood
• Monthly raffle at our membership meetings
